SISAK, Sept 27 (Hina) - Investigators of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) on Wednesday visited Hrvatska Kostajnica and Dvor na Uni, to investigate events that occurred during the Homeland War and
which could be described as war crimes, spokesman for Sisak-Moslavina police Zvonko Smernic said.
SISAK, Sept 27 (Hina) - Investigators of the International
Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) on Wednesday visited
Hrvatska Kostajnica and Dvor na Uni, to investigate events that occurred during
the Homeland War and which could be described as war crimes, spokesman for
Sisak-Moslavina police Zvonko Smernic said. The Sisak-Moslavina
police department escorted the ICTY investigators to the said towns, Smernic
said, adding that the investigators also visited Bosnia-Herzegovina to
investigate war crimes.
The spokesman said the ICTY investigators were not investigating
Croatian citizens but possible war crimes committed by "the other side". He
declined to speak in detail, saying that this was not under the jurisdiction of
the Croatian police.
