The tanker "Jurkalne", commissioned by the Latvian Shipping Company, was launched in June this year. It is 195 metres long, 32 metres wide and will sail under the flag of the Marshall Islands.
The Jurkalne is the second ship from a series of ten vessels, worth almost USD400 million, to be built for the Latvian company by the Rijeka-based shipyard.
Four ships have been built by the shipyard this year.
The shipyard has signed contracts on the construction of 17 ships, which are to be completed by early 2010.
