ZAGREB, Sept 6 (Hina) - Law enforcement officials from some 20
countries have gathered in Zagreb this week for four days' additional training
in the Interpol global communications system "I 24/7", which aims to bring
together member states in exchanging information on missing or wanted persons
and stolen vehicles and documents, the Croatian Ministry of the Interior said
in a press release on Wednesday. Croatia started to use the system
in 2003 when it connected to the system as the 13th country in the world.
The "I 24/7" system, which stands for Interpol's availability 24 hours
a day, seven days a week, makes it possible for field operatives to access the
Interpol central database and, "at a click of a mouse", obtain data on
registered offenders.
