Under the KN6 million scholarship programme, which will be equally funded by all three parties, 30 present of future Croatian civil servants will be studying at the University of Sussex over the next three academic years. After completing their studies and returning to Croatia, they will be obliged to work for three years in state administration, local government units or public institutions.
Grabar Kitarovic described the programme, which was introduced in 1998, as a long-term investment in human resources.
Ramsden said he was really pleased that 60 young professionals had been trained at British universities as part of this programme. He added that with these professionals Croatia would be very well prepared for European Union entry.
