It will be the first meeting on the parliamentary level since the two countries established diplomatic relations in 1993.
The main topics of the meeting will be Croatia's progress towards full membership of the European Union and NATO, which Canada supports, and bilateral relations, especially ways of promoting parliamentary cooperation and economic ties, and the existing visa regime in Canada.
Also on Monday, Kinsella is due to meet Croatian President Stjepan Mesic, Prime Minister Ivo Sanader, Foreign Minister Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic, the Chairman of the Parliament Foreign Policy Committee Gordan Jandrokovic, and the head of the Canadian Friendship Group in the Croatian Parliament, Ruza Tomasic.
On the second day of his visit, the Canadian senator will travel to the southern coastal city of Split for talks with the head of Split County, Ante Sanader, Mayor Zvonimir Puljic, Croatian Navy Chief of Staff Commodore Ante Urlic, and the head of Split University, Ivo Pavic.
