According to a statement issued by the Croatian President Office on Thursday, both documents have been distributed under Item 80 of the temporary agenda of the UN General Assembly: maintaining international security - good-neighbourly relations, stability and development in Southeast Europe.
The joint statements, initialled during Tadic's official visit to Croatia and Mesic's official visit to Montenegro, define basic principles that the three countries will follow in regulating their bilateral relations and relations with other countries in the region, the statement said.
Mesic and Tadic signed the joint statement in Zagreb on 27 June, while the statement with the Montenegrin president was signed in Podgorica on 12 July.
Common practice of the UN member states is to distribute documents which they consider important to other members.
