Seventeen Alka knights are competing at the tournament.
More than 10,000 visitors, including foreign tourists vacationing along the coast, arrived in Sinj today.
Among the visitors were Sabor Speaker Vladimir Seks and more than 30 parliamentary deputies, several ministers, church dignitaries, and town and municipal leaders, including Zagreb Mayor Milan Bandic.
A special guest at the tournament is Lieutenant General Mladen Kruljac, an envoy for President Stjepan Mesic, who agreed to have the tournament organised under his auspices after five years.
There are no foreign ambassadors at the tournament.
After five years Alka knights will not give their awards for the defence of Mirko Norac, whose photo is no longer on the official invitation cards of the Alka Knights society.
