ZAGREB, Aug 1 (Hina) - An Internet site with data on the implementation of the "Decade of Roma Inclusion 2005-2015" programme and other similar programmes in Croatia was officially inaugurated on Tuesday by Jadranka Kosor, Deputy
Prime Minister and the chairwoman of the government's commission for the implementation of national programmes for this ethnic group in the country.
ZAGREB, Aug 1 (Hina) - An Internet site with data on the
implementation of the "Decade of Roma Inclusion 2005-2015" programme and other
similar programmes in Croatia was officially inaugurated on Tuesday by Jadranka
Kosor, Deputy Prime Minister and the chairwoman of the government's commission
for the implementation of national programmes for this ethnic group in the
country. The web pages, available via the Croatian Government's
official website, contain information written in the Croatian, Roma and English
languages.
The financing of the said programmes will be covered by 12 million kuna
ensured in this year's government budget.
The Ivo Sanader Cabinet is also giving financial support to the Roma
minority through PHARE programmes and the European Commission has allocated
almost five million kuna in this way, Kosor said adding that the government
would participate in it with one third of the said amount.
