During talks with the German parliamentarians, Seks underlined that the two countries had excellent and friendly relations.
Croatia and its citizens will never forget Germany's assistance and support during the Homeland War, Seks said.
He added Croatia would persist on the set objectives and on the preservation of values and standards of the democratic society so as to become a full member of the European Union and NATO.
Over the past several days, the German delegation, led by the president of the group of the Christian Social Union (CSU) in the German parliament, Peter Ramsauer, held talks with top Croatia officials - President Stjepan Mesic, Prime Minister Ivo Sanader and several ministers, as well as with representatives of the German national minority.
Expressing satisfaction with the visit to Croatia, Ramsauer said CSU deputies were assured that Croatia was determined in taking all necessary steps so as to fully join the Eu as soon as possible.
Croatia has made great progress and we are certain the country would soon join the European Union, he said, adding that it was possible for Croatia to join the EU by 2009.
This is an ambitious goal to which Croatia must aspire, Ramsauer said.
