Culture Ministry said on Friday.
ZAGREB, June 30 (Hina) - A Croatian delegation attended at
UNESCO's seat in Paris on June 27-29 the first general assembly of countries
signatories to the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural
Heritage, the Culture Ministry said on Friday. The aim of the
Convention is the protection of language, national customs, social events,
rituals, festivals, and traditional crafts.
The Convention was adopted at a UNESCO General Assembly in 2003 and
went into force in April. It has been ratified by 52 countries.
