"The first president of the Republic of Croatia should certainly have a monument and a square, but this should be arranged by relevant authorities and the City of Zagreb," Mesic told reporters after a celebration of Zagreb City Day.
Commenting on media reports saying that Slovenia was thinking of building another nuclear power plant at Krsko, Mesic said that Slovenia should discuss this possibility with Croatia as well as with Austria and Hungary.
"The construction of a nuclear power plant requires the approval or consent of other countries concerned, and Croatia is one of them because it would be situated close to our border," the President said.
