April saw the continuation of a trend which began in January, when the unemployment rate was 18.4 per cent, February, when it was 18.3 per cent, and March, when it was 18.1 per cent.
According to Croatian Employment Bureau figures, a total of 302,406 people were registered as unemployed at the end of April, which was 2.9 per cent less than at the end of March 2006 and 5.6 per cent less than in April 2005.
