supported a draft preliminary agreement on cooperation between the Health and
Social Welfare Ministry and the Stichting Eurotransplant International
Foundation (EIF), which coordinates the exchange of organs intended for
transplantation in a number of European countries. The EIF is an
internationally recognised non-profit organisation which operates in line with

The agreement regulates cooperation in taking, transplanting and
exchanging organs on a basis of reciprocity and mutual benefit.
The document provides for organ exchanges for high-priority patients
with kidney, heat and liver diseases and children.
The draft agreement will be signed by Croatian Health Minister Neven
Ljubicic and EIF president Bruno Meister in Zagreb on Friday. May 26 will be
