In competition of 55 feature films from 37 countries, "The Horseman (Konjanik)" won the Best Foreign Film award and a jury award for the Best Historical Feature Film.
"This award is a mark of recognition for my work. I am satisfied, the award pleases me," Ivanda told Hina in a brief interview.
The film speaks of life on the border between Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 18th century through a love story between two young people, a Catholic man and a Muslim woman.
Ivanda also received a third award for the original scenario for "The Power of Fate (Moc sudbine)", which he may make into a film.
