PODGORICA, May 22 (Hina) - The independent, sovereign state of Montenegro has been renewed with the decision of its citizens, the sovereignist bloc leader, Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic, said in the early hours of Monday. A total of 219,683 constituents voted for Montenegro's independence, while 176,515 voted against, Referendum Commission president Frantisek Lipka said on Monday, underlining that the small number of uncounted ballots could no longer significantly alter the referendum's results. The European Union's envoy for Montenegro's independence referendum, Miroslav Lajcak, has urged Podgorica and Belgrade to immediately start talks on arranging relations between the two independent countries.
