Following Monday's departure of six Bosnian Croats indicted by the Hague tribunal, HVIDRA on Tuesday urged providing assistance to all Croats standing trial before the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY).
The association said that the aim of this campaign was to continuously collect and analyse data, inform the public in Croatia and abroad, call on the Croatian authorities to behave responsibly and offer support to the indictees and their families.
Slobodan Lang told a news conference held by HVIDRA in Zagreb that the indictments (issued against Croats) "are hinting at the idea of collective guilt, what is unacceptable".
Lang added that Croatia should help prepare the Croat indictees for lengthy trials in a foreign country and in a foreign language, take care of their health and mental condition and support their families.
