The mine-sweeper will remain anchored in the Neum-Klek channel until Monday, the French Embassy in Bosnia said in a press release.
The ship docked in Neum a few weeks ahead of the 200th anniversary of the signing of an imperial decree on the opening of a French Consulate General in Travnik on 12 May 1806, the Embassy said, adding that the decree testified to how old were the ties between France and Bosnia.
France has actively supported Bosnia's efforts to join the European Union since the November 2000 summit in Zagreb, held during France's presidency of the Union, the press release said.
