The contract was signed during an international exhibition of oil, gas, and environmental protection, which Damascus is hosting from April 2 to 6, by STSI chairman of the board Ante Todoric and Hayan's chairman of the board Abdul shakkour Elbasha and director general Wahib Ramadan.
This is STSI's first venture in Syria and it refers to the Palmyra Project, one of the three fields INA has discovered so far on the Hayan licence in Syria.
INA is attending the Damascus fair for the third consecutive year and this year for the second time won third prize for its presentation. The first two prizes went to Total and Shell. INA's exhibition area was visited by Sufain al-Alao, Syria's minister of petroleum and mineral resources.
