BRUSSELS, March 14 (Hina) - A Croatian delegation agreed in
Brussels on Tuesday on quotas for Croatian sugar exports to the European Union,
Agriculture Minister Petar Cobankovic said. As of 1 January 2007
Croatia will be able to export 180,000 tonnes of sugar to the EU per year
without paying duties.
Until then, regulations from the Croatia-EU Stabilisation and
Association Agreement allowing unlimited export of sugar to the EU will remain
in force.
Last year Croatia exported close to 200,000 tonnes of sugar to the
EU.
