At 10 am, a minute of silence was observed by 22 deputies of the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS), who were alone in the hall. After an hour, the deputy speaker, Zoran Andjelkovic of the SPS, said there was a quorum and that the session could begin.
The president of the SPS club of deputies, Ivica Dacic, claimed that Serbian Radio and Television had not aired live a commemoration for Milosevic on March 18 and asked that the minute of silence be observed one more time.
The minute's silence was observed by deputies of the SPS and the Serbian Radical Party standing up, deputies of Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica's Democratic Party of Serbia remained seated, while the remaining deputies of the ruling coalition walked out.
The first spring parliamentary session was then adjourned for tomorrow, although it was not stated for what reason.
