ZAGREB, March 7 (Hina) - The Croatian Parliament's National
Committee for the Supervision of EU Accession Talks met on Tuesday to discuss
Croatia's negotiating position on the chapter on science and research and to
define the country's strategic interests. Committee Chairman Ivica
Racan of the Social Democratic Party told reporters after the meeting that he
was satisfied with technical aspects of the talks between Zagreb and Brussels,
but not with the fact that Croatian strategic interests in the talks have not
been defined yet.
The Committee is soon to submit a report to Parliament on the progress
of the negotiating process.
