The show features 78 photos of Croatian lighthouses and the Croatian government has decided to give some of the photos to the European Commission.
The exhibition was opened by Croatian Deputy Prime Minister Damir Polancec, European Fisheries and Maritime Affairs Commissioner Joe Borg, and Croatia's Ambassador to the EU, Branko Baricevic.
The opening ceremony was also attended by European Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn, Science and Research Commissioner Janez Potocnik, EC Vice-President Jacques Barrot and numerous other guests from diplomatic circles and European institutions, as well as reporters.
The exhibition is part of a promotion campaign which also includes a reportage on Croatia by Belgian journalists covering tourism industry that was shown on Monday evening, the "Croatian Night" event, to be organised by the Croatian Tourism Board on Wednesday, and a presentation of Croatia at a tourism fair in Brussels on Thursday.
