THE HAGUE, Jan 19 (Hina) - The entry of pleas by Croatian generals Ivan Cermak and Mladen Markac to two new charges in the amended indictment before the Hague war crimes tribunal has been cancelled following an announcement by the prosecution that it will file a motion for the joinder of their case with that of General Ante Gotovina, a defence lawyer said on Thursday.

Pre-trial judge Kevin Parker cancelled the plea entry, which was to be conducted by videolink from Zagreb on Friday as part of a status conference in their case, said lawyer Cedo Prodanovic, who represents General Cermak.

The three generals are charged with crimes against humanity and violations of the laws and customs of war committed against Serb civilians during and in the aftermath of the 1995 military operation dubbed "Storm".
