Gavrilovic delivered its most famous brand products including the liver pete and canned luncheon meat to the Chicago-based AB Company.
Gavrilovic reported that the return of its products on the U.S. market after a 15-year-long break was ensured after the U.S. authorities issued all necessary licences to the Croatian company for the export of its food products to the United States.
Inspectors of the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) within the U.S. Department of Agriculture toured the Gavrilovic plants in Croatia last year and established that the company's products reached the highest standards regarding the quality and excellence. After that they greenlighted the import of Gavrilovic brand products to the United States.
Managers of the Gavrilovic company have described 2005 as the most successful year since the company returned to the town of Petrinja in 1995 after Croatian forces liberated that town from Serb rebels and paramilitaries.
In 2005, 19 percent of the company's total output was intended for export. Gavrilovic products can be bought at the markets of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Slovenia, Australia, New Zealand, Serbia-Montenegro, Germany, and the Russian Federation, besides the United States.
Gavrilovic managers said that in 2005 the company's turnover amounted to 830 million kuna. This reflects a continued growth over the last ten year. For instance in 2004, the turnover totalled 805 million kuna, and in 2003 it came to 710 million kuna.
