Cobankovic said that Croatia's delegation arrived in Skopje with the aim of crating even better conditions for Croatian businessmen and their investments in Macedonia and exploit possibilities for stronger economic cooperation.
He said Macedonia's investors were welcome in Croatia, adding that the two countries would continue to work on trade liberalisation through CEFTA frameworks
Jankulovski stressed it was necessary to intensify economic cooperation, notably when it comes to the development of the agricultural and food-processing sector. He underlined that Croatia was the third most important foreign trade partner to Macedonia. The Macedonian official called on Croatian companies to invest in Macedonia because the country had good infrastructure and young labour.
Cobankovic and Jankulovski said the two countries had only one outstanding issue - trade in tobacco products - but added that a task force had been set up to deal with this problem.
