The two-day event gathered delegations from 49 NATO and Partnership for Peace member-countries. Croatia is represented by Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic.
Earlier in the day, the US-Adriatic Charter countries held a meeting which was also attended by US Ambassador to NATO Victoria Nuland.
The US ambassador said that the Charter was very useful in facilitating reforms and democratic processes in Croatia, Macedonia and Albania.
Nuland conveyed her country's support for the admission of the Charter countries to NATO. Grabar Kitarovic said that participants in the meeting were optimistic that Croatia, like Macedonia and Albania, would be invited in 2008 to join NATO.
