Speaking of guidelines for parliamentary elections in November, Sisljagic said that independent MP Branimir Glavas would head the party's slates in the fourth and fifth constituencies.
He said the priority was the economic recovery of Slavonia and Baranja, and announced the possibility of the party running in Zagreb and the diaspora apart from the five constituencies in Slavonia.
Bubalo recalled that the HDSSB was founded 13 months ago on the foundations of the Croatian Democratic Assembly of Slavonia and Baranja, an association founded and presided by Glavas.
Bubalo said the HDSSB has more than 20,000 members and expected excellent results at parliamentary elections.
He also said the incumbent government started intensifying pressure on the party and Glavas' association as soon as their force became visible in Slavonia and Baranja.
He said that "one of the moves is the political persecution of Glavas" but added that "it is clear to everyone that the persecution of him undermines the dignity of the Homeland War". Glavas is currently in custody on suspicion of war crimes.
