The funds will be used to demine 637,000 square metres of land suspected of being mine-infested in six Croatian counties.
HCR chief Oto Jungwirth said Germany had donated over five million euros, excluding the latest donation, for demining in Croatia since 1999, helping to clear of mines 3.5 million square metres of land.
German Deputy Ambassador Laurids Holscher said the German government was very satisfied with its cooperation with the HCR, assessing the humanitarian demining projects it financed in Croatia as the most successful in the world.
The chief of the ASB office in Croatia, Wolfgang Raschka, said this NGO was satisfied with its cooperation with the HCR and would continue to support demining in Croatia.
