Bozanic made the appeal on Saturday in a sermon commemorating the 320th anniversary of proclamation of St Joseph as a patron saint of Croatia.
Recalling that the Sabor chose St Joseph as a patron saint of the Croatian people and homeland in 1687, Bozanic said that members of the Croatian Parliament, aware of their social responsibility, should always work "according to their properly shaped conscientiousness and make and support laws which are inspired and based on the values of human nature and which are in accordance with the spiritual tradition of the Croatian people."
