Dujo Runje said that the establishment of the government was good news for all citizens of Serbia, including ethnic Croats, at the moment when the unsolved status of Kosovo was fuelling tensions in the country which might have become only more unstable in case of any new pre-election campaigns at this time.
It is the other question whether this structure of the government may succeed in yielding better results. What remains to be seen is how much the Democratic Party of Serbia led by (Prime Minister) Vojislav Kostunica would be pro-European," Runje said.
He stressed that it was incomprehensible and unacceptable that none of 22 ministries would not deal with issues relating to national minorities although they make up almost one third of Serbia's population.
The political party representing ethnic Hungarians also expressed disappointment over that fact.
