The event, which will last until 27 April, gathered nearly 1,900 participants, including information technology experts, economists and business people.
"How firms can be more competitive, innovative and efficient by means of information and communications technologies and how they can survive in the market are the main topics of the conference," the director of Microsoft Croatia, Davor Majetic, said at the opening.
New Microsoft systems Windows Vista and Microsoft Office 2007 in the Croatian language will be premiered at the event.
"The conference provides a detailed overview of the latest Microsoft technologies and products. At this year's conference, the emphasis will be on competition, innovativeness and interoperability. In terms of content, the conference offers lectures by leading domestic and foreign experts of the IT world," according to the conference's website.
