The joint bid was presented by Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader and his Hungarian counterpart Ferenc Gyurcsany, while the presidents of the football federations of Croatia and Hungary, Vlatko Markovic and Istvan Kistelleki respectively, only greeted the UEFA officials.
"We have done our best to win the host bid. (...) If we win tomorrow, we will not disgrace ourselves as hosts, and if the others win we should not take it tragically and should try again," Sanader told Croatian television after the 45-minute presentation.
"If we don't win the bid after such a presentation, we never will," Croatian national team coach Slaven Bilic said.
Other members of the Croatian-Hungarian delegation were also delighted with the presentation.
Croatia and Hungary were the first to present their bid. This is yet to be done by Ukraine and Poland, which will also present a joint bid, and by Italy.
The UEFA is to make a final decision on Wednesday morning.
