The work by sculptor Vasko lipovac is a gift from the Croatian government and is the first sculpture of a foreign author in Parque de las Esculturas.
Attending the unveiling was Osvaldo Rivera Riffo, director of the Culture Institute of Providencia, one of Santiago's central neighbourhoods, who said he was pleased that a Croatian sculpture had been placed in the unique park to testify to the great contribution Croats had made to the culture, politics and economy of contemporary Chile.
Biskupic also met Croatian emigrants and visited some of Chile's most important cultural institutions to agree on cultural exchange programmes.
