ZAGREB, March 22 (Hina) - A requests by a lawyer representing
retired army general Vladimir Zagorec, for the removal of Zagreb County Court
investigating judge Erna Drazancic and the head of the court's Investigations
Department, Kresimir Devcic, have been rejected, the court announced on
Thursday. Zagreb County Court president Mirjana Rigljan dismissed as
unfounded the request by the lawyer, Kresimir Devcic, for the removal of the
two court officials from the investigation because of their alleged bias and
unlawful procedures.
The court president said that both Drazanic and Devcic were objective
and impartial and acting in accordance with the law and the court's rules of
procedure.
The court decision may be appealed within the next three days.
