The two opposition parties accuse the Ivo Sanader Cabinet of having prevented the country from using considerable development funds, of being non-transparent in the use of the funds and of belittling the Sabor.
Neven Mimica of the SDP and Dragutin Lesar of the HNS on Friday told a news conference that in October 2005 the national parliament adopted a decision obligating the government to submit reports to the parliament every six months about the use of the funds
They stressed that in the last 15 months the government should have submitted three reports but it failed to produce any document of this kind.
Mimica said that between 120 and 130 million euros could be drawn from EU pre-accession funds which was very important for Croatia on its road towards the EU.
The two parties insist that the government submit a relevant report by 14 July, when the parliament is due to wrap up its spring sitting, and to inform the Parliament by its dissolution about those who are responsible for the failure to produce the reports.
