The forum was organised by the Croatian Chamber of the Economy as part of a two-day visit by a Montenegrin business delegation. It gathered representatives of 33 companies from both countries dealing in tourism, energy, construction, food, insurance, banking and transport.
Croatian Economy Minister Branko Vukelic and his Montenegrin counterpart Branimir Gvozdenovic said their ministries would support the development of ties between the two countries' business people.
Vukelic said it was necessary to jointly work on the elimination of administrative barriers given the interest of business people on both sides in joint projects.
Gvozdenovic said Montenegrins were interested in investing in Croatia.
Croatia-Montenegro trade in 2005 was EUR34.2 million, with a 23 million Croatian surplus, according to Montenegrin figures. In last year's first six months, trade was EUR28.5 million, twice the amount than at the same time the year before, with Croatian exports amounting to 25.1 million and Montenegrin ones to 3.4 million.
