According to the agreements, two such zones will be established in the towns of Virovitica and Sisak and the municipality of Donji Kraljevac each and one in the towns of Otocac and Otok and the municipalities of Majur, Djurdjenovac, Antunovac and Velika Ludina.
The government launched the project of enterprise zones in September 2004 and about 12 million square metres of state-owned land has been provided for this purpose since then in more than 60 local government units, Polancec said.
Polancec said that a total of 284 enterprise zones were operating at the moment, with 1,260 entrepreneurs and over 18,000 workers.
