The presentation was organised by the Croatian National Tourist Board and focused on yachting, renovated hotels and camps, especially in the Istria and Kvarner regions in the northern Adriatic, whose camps are very popular among Danish tourists, known as high-paying guests.
About 80,000 Danes vacationed in Croatia last year, about five per cent less than in 2005, which the chief of the HTZ's Stockholm branch, Dario Matosevic, said was due to the noticeable increase in prices in Croatia as well as a warm Danish summer, which made Danes less interested in travelling abroad.
The highest number of Danish tourists this season may be expected in Istria and Kvarner, Danish travel agencies said, announcing new regular and charter flight to Dubrovnik, Split and Pula.
Ferie 2007 ends on January 28.
