The director of the company "AD Brodovi" from the coastal town of Solin told Hina on Sunday that Salona 37 won this award at an international boat fair in Duesseldorf, Germany last week.
A jury including representatives of magazines: Danish "BadNyt", French "Bateaux" iz Francuske, Swedish "Batnytt", Italian "Fare Vela", Norwegian "Seilas", Swiss "Swissboat Yachting", Dutch "Waterkampioen" , Greek "YACHT", British "Yachting World", Austrian "Yacht Revue" and Spanish "Yate", selected the Croatian boat as the best among the five finalists in this category.
The U.S. magazine "Sailing World" proclaimed Salona 37 as 2007 Cruiser/Racer of the Year.
"From the stainless-steel grid in its bilge to the top of its aluminum rig, the Salona 37 is a well-made, great-handling, dual-purpose racer," the magazine wrote.
