Numerous events marking the anniversary of Operation Maslenica will be held in Zadar and throughout the county tomorrow and on Sunday as well.
Representatives of Homeland War, the town of Zadar and Zadar County this morning laid wreaths and lit candles at the memorial site to the killed Homeland War soldiers in Kasic and Zeleni Hrast.
Wreaths were also laid by Croatian Sea, Tourism, Transport and Communications Minister Bozidar Kalmeta and the president of the Zadar County assembly, Stanko Zrilic.
The marking of the Maslenica anniversary continued with holy mass at
the St Francis Church on Mount Velebit..
Operation Maslenica, launched
on 22 January 1993, restored communication links between Croatia's north and
south, which had been severed by Serb insurgents three years earlier.
