Croatia searching for 1,860 people unaccounted-for since war

ZAGREB, July 13 (Hina) - The bodies of 20 people, most of whom died in the 1995 Operation Storm, have been identified at Zagreb's Institute of Forensic Medicine, the ministry of the family and veterans' affairs reported on Tuesday.

Of those 20 corpses, 13 were unearthed in Sisak-Moslavina County, three in Lika County, two in Zadar, and one body was exhumed in Sibenik and Pozega counties each.

The Croatian list of people who went missing in the Homeland Defence War now includes the names of 1,860 people still unaccounted-for. The majority - 1,024 - went missing during 1991 and 1992, and 836 in 1995, the ministry said.
