After the talks, Croatian Culture Minister Bozo Biskupic said that representatives of the Croatian minority expressed their satisfaction with Sanader's visit and informed him about important issues concerning their status and activities of minority associations and institutions.
Before the war in the 1990s, there were 121,000 Croats in Serbia, and currently this community has 71,000 members, Biskupic said.
The meeting focused on possibilities of financial assistance for the renovation of cultural institutions and buildings of the Catholic Church in Serbia.
Ethnic Croats called for the improvement of their status and for better media coverage of their activities.
