ZAGREB, April 24 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader, accompanied by the owner of the Agrokor concern, Ivica Todoric, toured the construction site of a new HRK 400 million distribution centre of the Konzum shop chain, which
is part of Agrokor, in Zagreb on Friday.
ZAGREB, April 24 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader,
accompanied by the owner of the Agrokor concern, Ivica Todoric, toured the
construction site of a new HRK 400 million distribution centre of the Konzum
shop chain, which is part of Agrokor, in Zagreb on Friday. Sanader
pointed out that the large distribution centre was one of a score of greenfield
investments of the leading Croatian company which produces food and drinks and
retails its products.
The centre will create 500 jobs, and all the ongoing investments will
provide employment for some 2,000 people, the premier said.
Konzum, the biggest retail chain in Croatia, has more than 650 stores
throughout the country. It reported a revenue of HRK 12.7 billion in 2008, 17.2
percent more than in 2007. The net profit of Konzum was HRK 329.2 million.
