Dissatisfied workers insist on termination of the 2007 sales agreement with the Polish company Zlomrex, which they consider responsible for putting the ironworks in an unenviable position.
The ironworks recently halted production due to lack of raw materials and all 480 workers were sent on leave.
Workers already organised protests such as rallies and road blocking, and they have resorted to hunger strike accusing the government of being too slow in taking measures aimed at helping the company.
