The complete structure of Soltiq is movable and easy to set up in any environment, the company's owner, Tomislav Ivanić, said.
The structure is resistant to strong winds, blowing at a speed of up to 150 kilometres per hour, and also to large amounts of snow. The entire modular station with all batteries and elements weighs 1,200 kilogrammes.
The solar autonomous modular charging station can be set up anywhere where the soil is hard and where there is enough sun, Ivanić said.
It took four months to develop the first prototype of the charging station after its first blueprint was drawn up.
The project cost €1 million.
The mass-scale production of Soltiq charging stations for cars may start this summer, and the company will be able to manufacture about a score of such stations per month.
Engineer Nino Babojelić said that the Soltiq battery, which has a capacity of 30 kilowatthours, can be recharged in a day.
