"Europe as well as the rest of the world rightfully expects a systematic and aligned crisis response from us," he said ahead of a video conference of the EU Foreign Affairs Council on measures against COVID-19.
"As the country chairing the Council of the EU, Croatia is fully aware of its responsibility to European citizens as well as citizens of partner countries," said Grlic Radman.
The conference will focus on helping partner countries healthwise and economically as well as on greater cooperation with Southeast European countries.
"I expect yet another confirmation of international cooperation and extending support to the most vulnerable states, the states of Africa and the parts of Asia that are the most exposed to the pandemic," the minister said, adding that "we can do the most when we are solidary and guided by the notion of unity."
