RIJEKA, Dec 31
(Hina) - The municipal office of the state prosecutor
in Rijeka decided on 20 December to conduct an investigation against
Vinko Sindicic over allegations that he gave a false statement after
Croatian citizens Josip Perkovic and Zdravko Mustac reported that
Sindicic falsely accused them before the German prosecutorial
authorities about their roles in the assassination of Stjepan
Djurekovic who fled Yugoslavia and moved into Bavaria where he was
killed in 1983. According to a press release from the municipal
office of the state prosecutor, the 20 December decision still needs
to be upheld.
