RAIL4SEE is part of the South East Europe Transnational Cooperation Programme, which aims to increase competitiveness and integration by implementing non-infrastructure measures and activities that will improve rail and public transport in cities such as Bologna, Venice, Trieste, Ljubljana, Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest, Thessaloniki, Sofia, Zagreb, Bucharest and Belgrade.
The public authorities, scientific institutions, carriers and associations which impact transport organisation are involved in the project.
Of the project's EUR 4.8 million value, EUR 250,000 refers to Croatian Railways Passenger Transport, of which EUR 212,500 is an IPA grant.
The project was launched in May 2012 and is expected to last 30 months.
