According to the survey, conducted under International Labour Organisation and Eurostat standards, shows that Bosnia has a working-age population of a little over 1.1 million and 821,000 are considered employed.
Nearly 70% of the 311,000 jobless have a high school degree, about 20% have only elementary school education, and 10% have a college degree.
As many as 60% of the jobless are under 24.
The State Labour and Employment Agency also has other data on the number of the formally employed and jobless according to which a little over 683,000 people were employed at the end of October, while 545,000 were registered as unemployed. If persons who work undeclared were counted as jobless, the unemployment rate would be 44.8%.
