BRUSSELS, Dec 16
(Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Vesna Pusic, who
is the leader of the Croatian People's Party (HNS), on Monday called
for the strict checking of signatures collected for a petition for a
referendum on the use of minorities' languages and scripts, and
explained that by signing the treaty on its admission to the European
Union, Croatia pledged to protect the rights of ethnic minorities, and
in the event of reducing such rights, the country must first leave the
EU.
